The Brief
For the Exchange Shopping Centre in Ilford, it was MK Illumination UK’s idea to use lights to create the atmosphere of a stroll through a winter forest in the fresh snow. Our team had the world famous song “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” in their ear when they came up with the design for this expansive shopping world of around 80 stores.
They took snow falling from glittering branches, snowballs, crystalline fern fronds and ice-covered foliage as their motifs. Made of glittering light elements, this design was extremely attractive in the shopping centre’s central, glass domed atrium.
