The Brief

London Bridge City is a prominent destination on London’s Southbank, situated between London and Tower Bridges, in sight of City Hall, and prominent from across the river. Their ideal decoration would be a standalone impactful sculpture, that could form a focal part of their Christmas by the Riverside promotions, equally appealing to tourists and the office workers, drawing people across the Thames to enjoy the Christmas events.

Our design for London Bridge City took inspiration from the news of the time – as the UK went into lockdown in 2020, wildlife began encroaching onto the towns and cities, encouraged by the vastly reduced traffic numbers. We took that idea and brought the animals right back into the centre of the city, with our stag and fox exploring the riverside, and a Christmas robin stopping by to join them. In following years we expanded upon the theme with another fox, and a robin on an illuminated tree stump, facing London Bridge station, encouraging commuters back to the space.

What We Did
