The Brief
The Cadogan family have been responsible for the stewardship of large parts of Chelsea and Knightsbridge since the early 18th century. Sloane Street and Sloane Square required a sensitive treatment that enhanced the landscape, creating a feeling of warmth and tradition, using timeless elements to tie all the areas of the Estate together.
We wanted to create a display that tied all the areas of Sloane Street, Sloane Square, and the surrounding streets, together – to create an enveloping and welcoming space without detracting from the architecture.
Cross-street decorations were created from natural forms of Antares starbursts, and Antares were also used to dress some of the imposing trees in Cadogan Place Gardens, and used extensively in Sloane Square to create a huge and attractive feature in keeping with the area.
We further enhanced the street using string lights to light up many of the trees growing along Sloane Street, and individual potted trees along the length of the street at pavement level, and finished off Pavilion Road using drape lights to highlight the pitched rooves, creating a cohesive scheme that sensitively tied the separate spaces together.
